Yes indeed, ladies and gentleman, the super alliance between the United States and Japan has just gotten stronger. Japan has recently revised its constitution and found that certain boundary restrictions that were in place were not specified in its constitution. As you would expect, Japan extended those boundaries in order to better accommodate the alliance that it has with the United States. It now can defend other countries around the world and not just neighboring countries. This is a huge deal because it means that it can now destroy missiles coming from the growing threat of North Korea. These new boundaries are particularly useful with the old, but growing threat of China, however, Japanese officials have recently stated that these changes are not because of any country, and are only for the increased defense of Japan. The new guidelines are especially amazing for Japan considering its long and conflicted history. I say that because one of the primary goals of this change is to help out in the world in humanitarian issues, and in Japan’s history, particularly in WWII, it committed the atrocities that it is now trying to prevent. All in all I think that this is the best move that Japan could have made because it can now help out the world in defense issues and it can now help to strive for a world with respected human rights.
